Your house above the imperial palace moat
Willows hang down around vermilion gates.
Rows of cooking vessels at a party for these important palace workers
Horse bell sounds of the courtiers and senior officials.
Life or death sentences determined by these people using the list of eight punishments
Being rich or poor completely depends upon one word.
You must know of the suffering and cold of scholars
Find compassion, even while wearing warm white fox coats.
Notes:
Vermilion gates: The red lacquered gates of the wealthy mansions.
