陪 姚 使 君 题 惠 上 人 房
带 雪 梅 初 暖
含 烟 柳 尚 青。
来 窥 童 子 偈
得 听 法 王 经。
會 理 知 無 我
观 空 厌 有 形。
迷 心 应 觉 悟
客 思 未 遑 宁。

Dai xue mei chu nuan
Han yan liu shang qing.
Lai kui tong zi jie
Dei ting fa wang jing.
Hui li zhi wu wo
Guan kong yan you xing.
Mi xin ying jue wu
Ke si wei huang ning.

Holding snow, Chinese plum trees beginning to thaw
Willow trees still bluish in the mist.
Buddhist students arrive, waiting for class to begin
Need to listen to the best dharma sutras.
Coming to meet and know the truth, my sense of self disappears
From the Buddhist viewpoint, satisfied to have this state of affairs.
Losing desires and thoughts should bring this awareness
These pilgrims long for, yet not serene and at ease.
