晚 春 行 田 南 原
西 畴 前 日 尘 作 雾
南 村 今 日 波 生 路。
云 予 从 来 疏 广 文
冲 雨 学 稼 当 辞 勤？
农 言 秧 好 殊 胜 麦
其 如 绿 针 未 堪 吃！
吾 生 十 指 不 拈 泥
毛 锥 便 得 傲 蓑 衣？
只 愿 边 头 长 无 事
拖 耒 耕 云 且 吾 志。
不 愁 官 马 送 还 官
借 牛 骑 归 不 用 鞍。

Western farmlands, last year’s dust storms like a fog
Today southern villages have waves that cover their roads.
Like the clouds I have extensive cultural skills, yet not enough to eat
With enough rain, why don’t I learn how to plant for myself?
Farmers say these rice sprouts will be successful with all of this water Although they grow quickly, they are not yet ready to eat.
All my life, my ten fingers have yet to touch them emerging from the mud
Using a writing brush is easy for me, not the pride of those wearing straw clothes?
My desire to see our youth planting fields instead of fighting on our borders
For now, it takes strength and intent to plow and cultivate the fields.
No sorrow for those like me who return home without the fanfare of celebration and fine horses
