初 入 淮 河: 四 绝 句
两 岸 舟 船 名 背 驰
波 痕 交 涉 亦 难 为。
只 余 鸥 鹭 无 拘 管
北 去 南 来 自 在 飞。

Liang an zhou chuan ge bei chi
Bo hen jiao she yi nan wei.
Zhi yu ou lu wu ju guan
Bei qu nan lai zi zai fei.

At each riverbank, boats big and small keep to their shores
Difficult to make their way through the waves to family on the other side.
Only the seagulls and egrets can go across without any restraint
Naturally they can fly north to south and back again.
