North of the Changjiang the fields are vast, but uncared for

Commentary:
These terraced fields can be found throughout China and southeast Asia. The authors visited one such place on their travels to Guangxi Province in western China. Known as Longji Titian (Dragon Spine Terraced Fields), and located in the mountains to the northeast from the provincial capital of Guilin.
