曾 仲 躬 见 过， 适 遇 予 出， 留 小 诗 而 去， 次 韵： 二 绝
地 僻 无 无 俗 客 来
蓬 门 只 欲 为 君 开。
山 横 翠 黛 供 诗 本
麦 卷 黄 云 足 酒 材。
数 树 山 花 草 舍 东
想 公 系 马 落 残 红。
那 知 老 子 耶 溪 上
正 泛 朝 南 暮 北 风。

Secluded lands with no secular or ordinary country friends coming to visit
Bramble gates only opened up for me.
Mountains from east to west black like eyebrows provide for local poems
Yellow clouds of scrolled waves of grain adequate for my ability to make wine.
Many varieties of mountain trees and flowers east of the thatched houses
Think of the falling red flower petals that will come down on your tethered horse.
Know that this old man waits for him on a small stream
Want to live out my life like the woodcutter’s life of Zheng Hong.
Notes:
Zheng Hong: A man from ancient times who also lived in this area where Lu Yu resided. This was a region of mountains and forests. The hunters used arrows that were tethered so they could easily be recovered. As a woodcutter, Zheng found one of these feathers and returned it to a mountain immortal. The immortal was so grateful that he offered Zheng one wish. His wish was to encourage the prevailing winds to blow in directions that would aid in Zheng’s travels to and from the forest for his livelihood.
