独 夜 寒 侵 翠 被
奈 幽 梦
不 成 还 起。
欲 写 新 愁 泪 溅 纸。
忆 承 恩， 叹 余 生
今 至 此。
簌 簌 灯 花 坠
问 此 际， 报 人 何 事？
咫 尺 长 门 过 万 里
恨 君 心， 似 危 栏
难 久 倚！

Alone at night, the cold invades her green silk quilt
However, she cannot produce secluded dreams, so must arise.
Wants to write about these new sorrows, teardrops splatter onto the paper
Recall the emperor’s kindness, now just ponder one’s remaining years.
Oil lantern pops, flowers drop down
Who can the emperor talk to on occasions like these?
She seems physically close to his palace doorway, yet may as well be thousands of miles away
