Autumn at Dongting Lake, radiant moonset in the west
Xiao and Xiang rivers to the north, early morning the geese fly.
Boat full of drunk visitors singing a baizhu song
Did not realize frost and dew had entered their autumn clothes.
Notes:
Xiao River: A tributary to the upper Xiang River.
Xiang River: Largest tributary to the Changjiang in Henan Province.
Baizhu: A white ramie cloth the peasants used to make clothes.
