Send Off Envoy Zhaoshi to the Northern Nomads

Send Off Envoy Zhaoshi to the Northern Nomads

Our former emperor composed the “Long Northern Journey”
Li Bai, the immortal banished from heaven, just like you, handsome and flying with the eagles.
For several months you wrote poems about our border Great Wall
Horses have to go across ten foot deep frozen ice upon the Yellow River.

Can anyone around here face our enemies south of Hebei?
Let’s capture some of the nomads so we can exchange them for some of our prisoners of war.
The emperor rules our county with help from his ancient ancestors
Again and again the excellent air and atmosphere around the imperial cemetery in Wuling.

Notes:

Hebei: Province in central China
