Praise-Worthy Scenery of River and Sky at Sunset: No. 1
On one side is Jin, the other Song, both border on the long Huai River
Setting sun, high winds cannot open up cloud spaces.
Vast waters, white egrets weary of flying over the cold waves
They still can all follow the Changjiang and Huai to the south.
Notes:
Jin: The Jin Dynasty (1115-1234 AD) included the area with most of the Jiangsu, Shandong, and Hebei provinces in northeast China.
Song: Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 AD)
Changjiang: Longest river in China. Also known as the Yangzi River.
Huai River: Major river flowing west to east between the Yellow River and the Changjiang.
