山 枇 杷
深 山 老 去 惜 年 华
况 对 东 溪 野 枇 杷。
火 树 风 来 翻 降 艳
穷 枝 日 出 晒 红 沙。
回 看 桃 李 都 无 色
映 得 芙 蓉 不 是 花。
争 奈 结 根 深 石 底
无 因 移 得 到 人 家。

Shen shan lao qu xi nian hua
Kuang dui dong xi ye pi pa.
Huo shu feng lai fan jiang yan
Qiong zhi ri chu shai hong sha.
Hui kan tao li dou wu se
Ying de fu rong bu shi hua.
Zheng nai jie gen shen shi di
Wu yin yi de dao ren jia.
Mountain Loquat Trees
Deep inside the mountains, prematurely old and having lost so much time in idleness.
Eastern small stream is lined with the leaves of wild loquat trees.
Autumn winds have arrived to reduce the trees’ fresh colors to fiery reds
Sun-dried and exhausted branches with leaves turning to powder.
See both peach and pear trees without color
Cottonrose hibiscus shine without any flowers.
However, roots growing deep and far under large rocks
Cannot be removed and taken home.
