山 成 虽 荒 芜
竹 树 有 嘉 色。
郡 俸 诚 不 多
亦 足 充 衣 食。
外 累 由 心 起
心 宁 累 自 息。
尚 欲 忘 家 乡
谁 能 算 官 职？
宜 恨 齐 远 近
委 顺 随 南 北。
归 去 诚 可 怜
天 涯 住 亦 得。

Shan cheng sui huang wu
Zhu shu you jia se.
Jun feng cheng bu duo
Yi zu chong yi shi.
Wai lei you xin qi
Xin ning lei zi xi.
Shang yu wang jia xiang
Shei neng suan guan zhi?
Yi huai qi yuan jin
Wei shun sui nan bei.
Gui qu cheng ke lian
Tian ya zhu yi de.

Mountain city walls overgrown with weeds
Bamboo trees have fine colors.
My prefecture salary actually very modest
But adequate to buy food and clothes.
Outside the rat-race causes the heart-mind to ascend
Heart-mind naturally rests around non-attachment.
Your valuable family and hometown follows one everywhere
Who can calculate the value of a government official’s lot?
Whether distant or near, you are where you should be
In sequence trust the north and the south.
Actually can sympathize with going or coming
Can live and thrive past the sky’s horizon.
