日 暮
牛 羊 下 来 久
各 已 闭 柴 门。
风 月 自 清 夜
江 山 非 故 园。
石 泉 流 暗 壁
草 露 滴 秋 根。
头 白 灯 明 里
何 须 花 烬 繁。

Niu yang xia lai jiu
Ge yi bi chai men.
Feng yue zi qing ye
Jiang shan fei gu yuan.
Shi quan liu an bi
Cao lu di qiu gen.
Tou bai deng ming li
He xu hua jin fan.
Today’s Sunset
Over a long time the oxen and sheep continue to come back home
Firewood doors have all been closed.
Evening moon and breezes are naturally clear
These rivers and mountains not my native place.
Rocky springwaters flow from hidden cliffs
Dew drips upon the autumn grasses and roots.
White hair bright from the inside lanterns
Do not need the presence of many blossoms and ashes.

Firewood doors: Doors made of scrap wood. The inhabitants live in serious poverty.
