蹉 跎 書 剑 年。
一 闻 边 烽 动
萬 里 忽 争 先。
余 亦 赴 京 国
何 当 献 凯 还。

I look around and notice those talented with the military arts
Up to now, they have been busy with small jobs.
You enjoy noble ideals and lofty ambitions
But wasted the prime fighting years by not studying and training.
After hearing that the beacon fires have been lit one by one You quickly want to travel the thousands of miles to join the battle.
I also want to go to the country’s capital
Where one can return with songs of victory and the honors of conquest.
