Za Shi: Shi Er Shou

Su yue chu dong ling.
Yao yao wan li hui
Dang dang kong zhong jing.

Feng lai ru fang hu
Ye zhong zhen xi leng.
Qi bian wu shi yi
Bu mian zhi xi yong.

Yu yan wu yu he
Hui bei quan gu ying.
Ri yue zhi ren qu
You zhi bu huo cheng.
Nian ci huai bei qi
Zhong xiao bu neng jing.

Various Poems: Twelve Poems: No. 2

Sun sets into the western river
Bright moon rises from the eastern mountain ranges.
Across thousands of miles, sunlight far away
Vast and broad, the scenery reflected from sky to water.

Wind enters the house through the door
Night time between cold pillows and bedding.
Become aware that seasons have already changed.
Cannot sleep, realize days are getting longer.

I want to talk, without making this poem a gift
Being alone, tip a wine cup and talk to the shadows.                                            Sun and moon movements cast people away from each other
I have the will and intent, but not the freedom and opportunity.
Thinking of this makes my mind-heart sad and desolate
With dawn, not able to go to sleep.
