Send This Letter to Hubei For Mr. Zhu Shouchang: (Full River Needlework)
From the west, the Changjiang and Han Rivers flow down below
Deep green like grapes
Emei Mountain snowmelt from my native region
Produces a wide variety of spring scenery.
You are doing good things to preserve your city
I want to return home, no longer be a visitor
Hear it said, my current posts have typical scenery without feeling
But I can talk at length about my hometown.
“River Surface Biography”: you do not read it anymore
Wild, arrogant intellectuals may come to regrets
Empty islet opposite Yingwu city
Only have reed flowers remain.
Not one happy educated person, we do not need to compete with the simple-minded
General Caogong and the famous warriors have all floated away with nothing left
Wish to send to you, bestow this poem
Forget fame, write immortal poems, such as Yellow Crane, better than Li Bai.
