Today at Dawn a Farewell Banquet: (One Carafe of Fine Pearls)

Jin Zhao Zu Yan: (Yi Hu Zhu)

Jin zhao zu yan.
Ke lian ming ye gu deng guan.
Jiu xing ming yue kong chuang man.
Cui bei chong chong
Bu si xiang ji nuan.

Chou chang qia si chen xiang zhuan.
Qian hui wan zhuan ying huan duan.
Meng zhong ruo de xun xiang jian.
Que yuan chun xiao.
Yi ye ru nian yuan.

Today at Dawn a Farewell Banquet: (One Carafe of Fine Pearls)

Today at dawn, a farewell banquet.
Feel pity, bright evening with a solitary lantern-lit room.
Sober up from the wine, quiet moonlight fills the empty bed.
Layer and layer of emerald green quilts
Not the same as the warmth from scented muscles.

Melancholy insides the smoke patterns from chenxiang incense.
One thousand twists, ten thousand swirls, the entangled smoke returns to chaos.
Inside dreams like searching for the sight of each other.
Can only hope for us to meet again during a springtime evening
This one night like a whole year.

Notes:

Chenxiang incense: Also known as Agarwood or Eaglewood. Indigenous to southeast Asia, including China and India. Used not only as an incense, but also as a medicinal herb, tea, powder, essential oil, and in making bracelets.
